Engagement in Tanzania

  • Protection of ground water sources: Indigenous trees are replanted to prevent erosion and provide shadow for the wells.

  • Conservation of forests: Wood as burning material for clay bricks is phased out. Instead, organic materials are pressed into bricks for housing constructions.

  • Conservation of edible plants of the Hadzabe people:  Cattle farmers are sensitized and motivated to avoid grazing  on edible plants to secure the food suppy of the Hadzabe.

  • Conservation of Habitats: Negative impacts of forest clearings and over-use are compensated.

  • Scholarships for Hadzabe pupils: Every scholarship funds the entire secundary education.
